HAIR CARE TO OVERCOME
HAIR LOSS PROBLEMS

Healthy hair grows at about half an inch a month. If the papilla (root) is not destroyed and is healthy, hair will regrow, even after cyclical hair loss. If blood supply to the papilla is strong, the new hair will grow strong. If the blood supply is weak, the new hair will be thin and dry.

As the scalp goes, so does the hair. However, a healthy scalp does not necessarily mean no hair loss. Influencing factors are diet, nutrition and hair treatment; of course genetic traits too are important. On the other hand unhealthy scalp will definitely not produce healthy hair. The scalp gives the hair life and fluid source.

Baldness, technically referred to as Alopecia. Besides heredity sex genes can also cause baldness. This too can be of two types.

  1. Premature Falling Hair, technically called Alopecia Prematura. This begins around middle age and is a slow thinning of the hair. It can begin even earlier. It is caused due to poor blood circulation, improper vitamins and nutrients intake. Proper hair care will minimise hair loss

  1. Hair Falling out in patches, technically called Alopecia Areata. This generally occurs in patches and is possibly caused by injury, trauma or some disease, decreased blood flow to the scalp

Reduced flow of blood (food for the hair root is supplied by it) will starve the hair root and cause hair to fall. Besides the above, two reasons, skin diseases like psoriasis and eczema are also found quite comonly in the scalp. These must be treated to prevent hair fall.
